Produced a useful performance when running out an authoritative winner of 10-runner handicap (17/2) at Wolverhampton (6f) in March. Not as good on turf, however, and failed to repeat that effort at Newbury last time.

Picked up where he left off in the autumn with a decisive win at Thirsk in April (6f, good to firm). Has followed that with solid efforts in defeat over 7f here and at Chelmsford (6f) and another bold show is anticipated from this improved model.

Course winner who ended 2024 in top form, winning 3 of last 4 starts over 7f. Drop back to 5f probably counted against him back here a fortnight ago, but others make more appeal all the same.

Ready Lingfield winner in December and added another AW handicap to his tally at Kempton in March. Continued the good work returned to turf when going close at Chester (7f, good) on penultimate start and and he's not without an each-way chance.

Struck gold twice at Ayr last season and arguably produced his best effort yet when making a winning reappearance at Musselburgh (7f, good) in April. Showed plenty of dash back at this trip when runner-up at Carlisle next time and he has to enter calculations.

C&D winner who made a winning return in 9-runner handicap at Beverley (5f, good to soft). Never looked like following up at Southwell (6f) since and while there was no disgrace in finishing sixth of 13 in that competitive contest, he looks vulnerable here.

Recorded third win over the minimum trip when narrowly prevailing at Beverley last month and subsequently opened his 6f in a 20-runner C&D handicap a fortnight ago. 8 lb rise leaves very little margin for error, though.

Won 3 times in 2024, but ended that campaign on a downer and there wasn't much promise in his reappearance spin at Beverley 3 weeks ago.

Has slipped to a dangerous mark, but he hasn't got his head in front for a while and has failed to build on his encouraging reappearance second at Ripon in 4 subsequent outings this year.

Largely consistent last term and has kicked on again this year, completing the hat-trick in a 10-runner Ripon handicap (6f, good to firm) last month. Struggled under a penalty in a Class 2 contest over this C&D since and while this is a less taxing assignment, some of the others are more appealing.

Started this year in fine fettle, bagging 4 handicaps on the bounce between February and April. However, his mark inevitably suffered as a result of that winning spree and he was put in his place at Doncaster recently.

Fairly useful ex-French 6f winner (best form came on testing ground), but he hasn't cut much ice in a handful of appearances for present connections.

Went close in pair of 7f Southwell handicaps in March/April, but has barely beaten a rival home the last twice and it's probably best to look elsewhere.

Confirmed debut promise when landing odds in a Newcastle maiden in January 2024 (final start for Kevin Ryan). However, he has finished stone last switched to handicaps on his last 2 starts and there are more compelling candidates on show here.

Stuck to his task when a head-second at Nottingham last month and shaped as though still in top form when third at Newmarket 8 days later. Finished nearer last than first here last time, though, and it remains to be seen if this return to 6f will work in his favour.

On a good mark judged on peak form, but he's not getting any younger and is hard to enthuse over here on the back of a low-key reappearance in the C&D won by Ingleby Archie.

Consistent performer who landed an 8-runner handicap at Nottingham on his penltimate start. Not so good at Ripon next time, but he will have a serious each-way chance if back to something like his best.

Third on reappearance over 6f handicap at Catterick before winning over same C&D in April. Latest fourth at Ripon can be marked up (encountered traffic problems) and she's an each-way player offe the same mark.
