Opened turf over this C&D in August 2023 and returns here on the same mark. However, he's been limited to just 2 subsequent starts (well held on each occasion) and this is a big ask following an 18-month absence.

Hasn't won on turf for the thick end of 2 years but got back on track in a first-time hood (retained) when finding just one too good at Salisbury (14.2f, good to firm) last month. Mark unchanged and should make his presence felt once more.

Consistent for the Gosdens, making the frame on 5 of 6 starts in novice company. Improved when making a winning start for this yard in 10-runner handicap at Leicester (11.8f, good) in April and, though not in the same form at Ascot next time, the return to this trip looks a good move.

Completed a superb 5-timer at Newcastle last summer and ended 2024 campaign with a solid effort in defeat over this trip at Southwell. Looked badly in need of the run when nearer last than first in 1½m Thirsk handicap in April and needs taking seriously back up in trip here with Colin Keane booked.

More miss than hit in second half of last season but bounced back to form to make a winning reappearance over this trip at Goodwood. By no means disgraced at the same course next time, albeit that effort did seemingly underscore his limitations and he may also find this a shade too competitive.

This mark is a very attractive one judged on 2023 form and on his third-place finish in 0-105 handicap at Haydock last June. However, he otherwise failed to fire on all cylinders last season and while his latest Chester effort was more like it, he's a tricky ride and essentially isn't one to trust.

Won a 1½m Kempton novice and 1¼m Newmarket handicap last year. Reappearance third at Southwell was creditable (probably best to excuse her subsequent display at Goodwood) and she's well worth a second look now faced with a stiffer test (has been shaping as though it will suit).

Three-time winner last season and right back to form the last twice, going close at Doncaster (14.5f, firm) before getting his head back in front in a Chelmsford handicap 13 days ago. 3 lb nudge fair enough and he has to enter calculations with Ryan Moore booked, for all that this more demanding.

Landed a Thirsk handicap off a 4 lb higher mark in September 2023. Limited to just 3 appearances last season, though, and while he didn't do much wrong when fourth on return at Windsor (1¼m, good to firm) recently, others look stronger on this occasion.

Won twice on AW in October last year and finally opened turf when seeing off 6 rivals in gritty fashion at Haydock (16.2f, good to firm) last time. 3 lb rise not the end of the world by any means, but he has more on his plate in this contest.

BALTIC and Russian Crescendo failed to show what they can do on their respective reappearances, but plenty of interest remains judged on their 2024 exploits and with the potential of more to come over this trip. Baltic finished a clear second to Berkshire Sundance on his sole previous run over 1¾m at Southwell during the autumn and is marginally preferred to the unexposed William Haggas-trained filly. Loving Look and Road To Wembley also have claims, while Fireblade is not without hope either.
